Job Description

Sales Assistant The Laval Branch is seeking a fully bilingual Sales Assistant that will support all aspects of sales and rentals for the Quebec region, this position is geared towards someone who is interested in progressing into a Sales Representative role as part of their career path. Job Duties \xc2\xb7 Create links for every unit on equipment list to a folder with the unit quote template, cost sheet, line drawing, weights, and any other relevant information

  • The creation of Purchase Orders for specific manufacturer\xe2\x80\x99s
  • Update customer profiles, information, and contacts
  • Receive walk-in customers, partake in sales calls
  • Support Senior Sales Representatives
  • MOT ownerships, licensing, and plating for new trucks
  • Work on trade-in evaluations and make pricing recommendation
Prospecting:
  • Cold-call prospects with leads that are generated by external sources
  • Create and deliver qualified opportunities to Account Managers where appropriate
  • Maintain and expand the company database of prospects
  • Arrange product demonstrations where applicable
  • Assist in creating RFP responses to potential clients
  • Where necessary, support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events
  • Make outbound follow up calls to existing customers via telephone and email cross-sell
  • Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports
  • Coordinate customer training as necessary
  • Investigate and troubleshoot customer service issues
  • Attend periodic sales training when applicable
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Post secondary education is required
  • Must have own transportation
  • Previous experience with SAAQ
  • 2-5 years previous experience, preferably in the Heavy Equipment industry
  • Strong knowledge of wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
  • Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Self motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
  • High level of integrity and work ethics
  • Experience with customer relationship management software
Working Conditions
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Ability to attend sales events or exhibits
  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
