Sales Assistant

Reports To



Key Accounts Lead and CEO
Works collaboratively with the Marketing Team

Key Responsibilities



Conduct in-store demos and sampling events to promote our teas and gather customer feedback. Work independently to represent Sarjesa at retail locations and community events. Provide ongoing support to existing accounts, ensuring they have the tools, materials, and knowledge to succeed. Schedule, coordinate, and execute promotional activities to drive sales and brand awareness. Assist with outreach to new and existing retailers and food service accounts. Collaborate with Marketing on social content and campaign ideas that align with in-store activities. Provide excellent customer service and follow up on inquiries from retailers and customers. Support order processing and ensure timely delivery to clients. Collect and analyze feedback from demos, promotions, and customers to help refine our approach and improve the customer experience. Coordinate with the operations and inventory teams to ensure sufficient product availability for promotions and sales. Collect Orders

What You'll Be Doing at the Start



Your main responsibility will be conducting demos and collecting orders at our grocery and retail accounts -- sharing Sarjesa's story, engaging customers, and gathering feedback. You'll also act as the main point of contact for your store portfolio, ensuring they have everything they need to succeed.

Where This Role Is Going



This role is part of a growing Sales Department. As we expand our retail footprint and build stronger partnerships, you'll gain experience in grocery promotional planning, relationship management, and sales strategy. We're looking for someone proactive, curious, and eager to grow with us -- someone who enjoys working independently but thrives as part of a collaborative team.

This is a role where you will work really hard and also grow.

Qualifications



Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Self-motivated and comfortable working independently. Previous experience with grocery, retail, or food service accounts is an asset. Tech-savvy and comfortable using CRMs and scheduling tools. Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle. Passion for learning and sharing knowledge about tea and wellness. Fluent in English. Must be located in the Calgary area.

What We Offer



32 hours per week with a three month contract to start $15-$22 per hour + commission Benefits available for staff working over 20 hours/week Opportunities for growth and professional development within a rapidly expanding company
