Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to meet their needs Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to help customers make informed decisions Assist with merchandising and stock replenishment to ensure attractive and organized displays Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties Upsell additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities Maintain excellent phone etiquette when communicating with customers over the phone or via other channels Support inventory management by stocking shelves, conducting stock checks, and assisting with inventory counts Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly and professionally Assist in training new team members and supervising junior staff when needed

Skills

Proven experience in retail sales or customer service environments, preferably in grocery stores or similar retail settings Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic retail math for accurate transactions Demonstrated ability to upsell products confidently while maintaining a positive attitude Experience in merchandising, stocking, and inventory management techniques Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for effective customer interactions Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities within the team Knowledge of grocery store operations and familiarity with retail standards such as product demos and stock rotation
