Job Description
The Durham Convention Centre is a brand-new, modern event venue in Ajax, and we're looking for a results-driven Sales Advisor to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a sales environment, enjoys working with clients, and is motivated by performance-based earnings.
You'll be selling a wide range of events including weddings, corporate functions, trade shows, conventions, galas, and private celebrations.
What You'll Do
This role requires active business development, including prospecting, outreach, and relationship building, alongside incoming sales inquiries. Sell event space and services to clients for weddings, corporate events, and more Conduct site tours and client consultations Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and contracts Follow up on leads and maintain a strong sales pipeline Work closely with operations and event teams to ensure smooth handoffs
What We're Looking For
Proven sales experience (event sales, hospitality, or venue sales is a strong asset) Confident closer with strong communication and negotiation skills Goal-oriented and motivated by commission and performance Professional, organized, and client-focused Availability for evenings and weekends as required
Compensation
