AL-MAR Vinyl Products was one of Ontario's first distributors of maintenance free vinyl decking, railing, and fencing systems. Since 1997 we've been a leader in the Industry. We pride ourselves in being the first to develop or bring in new innovative products.

We operate out of a 3 acre property in Exeter, Ontario. Our factory is approximately 15,000 Square Feet. We use state of the art computerized routing equipment to ensure consistent quality and accuracy on each and every order.

AL-MAR has a large inventory of raw vinyl profiles that we fabricate into numerous styles of fencing and railing. We stock a number of decking products as well. We have a network of dealers throughout Ontario and are currently looking to expand that network. Our products are also available through contractors, home improvement companies, lumber stores and building material outlets.

SUMMARY



You would offer top notch customer service, striving for excellence in first impressions and creating lasting customer relationships. You will be self-motivated and capable to handle all or some of the groundwork for a successful order by ensuring order accuracy, verifying order details with the customer, and relaying information to team members. You will provide support to the accounting department maintaining financial records, assisting with invoices, and handling administrative tasks. You will ensure accuracy in financial documentation and assist in day-to-day financial operations. The candidate must be comfortable promoting Al-Mar's line of vinyl, decking, railing and fence products. Our customers include; contractors, home improvement companies, small independent lumber yards, regional building material dealers and outlets. You will confidently service customers over the phone, by e-mail & fax, and in person and maintain good relations with all customers. This position also includes other functions within the company to assist with inventory control, purchasing, shipping & receiving, and various clerical and administrative duties as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide service to all walk-in and existing customers in order to maintain and increase the company's customer base and to achieve sales goals Answer inbound phone calls and enquiries; direct calls as required Process and record daily financial transactions, such as sales, purchases and expenses, ensuring timely vendor and client transactions. Assist with day-today accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies; Ensure confidentiality of financial data Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence; Retrieve documents and files when requested Read and route incoming mail and process outgoing mail Provide admin and tech support for sales people Organize and maintain financial files, both digital and physical Maintain office supply inventory Develop a thorough understanding of all customer businesses and advising on the best product solutions to accomplish their objectives Communicate and coordinate with Outside Sales representatives any issues with orders or customers in their area Work with Outside Sales representatives to deliver and maintain programs and services Keep showroom and work area tidy Contact customers with shipment status and customer order follow-ups Coordinate with Shipping/Production the best service option to deliver on customer satisfaction Accurate and timely entry of orders received by phone, fax or email into a computerized order system, both promptly and courteously Inventory and Pricebooks maintenance/processing Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Sales experience with a background and knowledge in the residential construction industry is an asset

Minimum of 1 year of exceptional customer service experience

Proven experience as a bookkeeping assistant or similar role

Proven knowledge of general Excel skills (creating spreadsheets, sorting, filtering, formatting and using formulas)

Proficiency in accounting software (eg. Quickbooks) Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry Excellent organizational and time management skills. Fundamental understanding of accounting principles and familiarity with accounting software Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Able to quickly learn technical information specific to the building industry Dedication to serving customers promptly and with high level of care Comfortable with conducting outbound phone calls to existing customers Good geographical knowledge of Ontario is an asset G drivers license in good standing
OTHER

Very comfortable with Excel, Word, GMAIL; good keyboarding skills and computer skills

Ability to communicate clearly both written and verbal Flexible and Adaptable to change Aptitude for numerical calculations Ability to work as a team player and self-motivated to work independently in a

fast-paced environment

Ability to adapt and support change, solve problems creatively and adjust approach as necessary A positive attitude, confident, and desire to be the best Excellent English communication skills at a capacity to influence sales over the phone Clean and tidy appearance

EXEPERIENCE

Quickbooks Software: 1 year (an asset) Previous bookkeeping-related experience (required) Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel) with ability to adapt quickly to changing technology (required) Knowledge of Canadian Labour Laws and Employment Standards
EDUCATION

Secondary School (Required)

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. This full-time position includes a comprehensive company benefits package. Hours are Monday - Friday 40+ hours/week
