Who are we looking for?

Account Executives within our Digital Citizen Experience division will sell specific product and services to municipal governments and public sector organizations within their region. The Account Executives build interest in our software and services through a variety of prospecting activities, including introductory meetings, educational and consultative sessions, interactive demonstrations, and formal RFP processes.

Account Executives will operate as trusted advisors that guide customers through their buying cycle, ensuring that buyers are well-versed in and fully comfortable with our software, services, implementation process and project development requirements. In leading and closing business, Account Executives negotiate contract terms, prepare customers to begin the implementation process and work hand-in-hand with internal staff and prospective clients through formalized procurement processes! This role can sit within most GHD locations within the US and Canada.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Sell SAAS solutions to local governments within the assigned territory.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets established.
  • Achieve lead generation, prospecting, and other sales management goals crafted to build an efficient sales pipeline.
  • Develop strong, long-term relationships and referrals by being a \xe2\x80\x9ctrusted advisor\xe2\x80\x9d among local governments within the assigned territory.
  • Run the end-to-end sales process for all opportunities including initial client communication, on-site presentations, RFI response, RFP submission, negotiation, and deal signing. The candidate is the focal point for all communication and sales activities with prospects and customers.
  • Work in close collaboration with Product Management, Marketing and Project Management teams to ensure that solutions are inline with business goals while also fully meeting customers\' business and technology needs.
What you will bring to the team (what they possess):
  • At least 5 years of direct sales experience in enterprise software, SaaS or IT services, ideally in a public sector environment.
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Experience with vendor selection processes including RFI and RFP issuance and response management.
  • Ability to maintain strong territory management focus during sales cycles that are typically six months to one year in duration.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead often sophisticated negotiations with senior-level business and technology executives.
