We looking to add a sales associate to our family at Violet Quilts.

Violet Quilts, a provider of quality quilting fabrics and notions in the Annapolis Valley, is seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and customer-focused individualto join our family as a retail sales associate/cashier.

If you have a love for sewing, quilting, and/or needlework, and enjoy helping customers with their projects, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

- Greet customers and provide excellent service throughout their shopping experience
- Process transactions accurately using Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store
- Assist customers in locating products and making purchasing decisions
- Answer customer inquiries

-Ability to assist in the making of quilt samples to promote in store products

-Assist with merchandising

Requirements:

- Previous retail and POS experience
- Experience working with texiles
- Friendly and helpful personality

-Ability to perform physical tasks
- Love dogs

Preferred:

-Experience with quilt making

-Experience with embroidery

-Experience of sewing machines and sergers

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.75-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week
