JOB PURPOSE

Performing ophthalmic tests for Ophthalmologists and assisting Ophthalmologists..

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have ophthalmic medical assistant course through accredited college. Must have experience working with Ophthalmologists (minimum- 6 months). Ability to attend work on a regular basis and ability to work a flexible schedule (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays). Ability to perform the duties of the position. Good work record

Demonstrated proficiency verified by testing in:

Data Entry 4000 KSPH

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Ophthalmic Medical Assistant is responsible for:

Perform visual fields (Automated and Goldmanns) Perform ocular imaging (ex. Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT's), corneal topography) Assist in minor operating ophthalmological surgical procedures Obtain visual acuity and lensometry measurements Assess intraocular pressure (Tonopen, icare) Instill eye drops History taking
