JOB PURPOSE

The Laboratory Information System (LIS) Coordinator is responsible for providing operation and system support for the Laboratory Information System. This position may supervise an LIS Analyst.

QUALIFICATIONS

• A Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science degree or a graduate of a school of Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Must be registered with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science and licensed and in good standing (a practicing member) with the New Brunswick Society of Medical Laboratory Technologists.
• Must have five years of related experience.
• Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
• Ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Good work record.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Laboratory Information System (LIS) Coordinator is responsible for:

• Providing troubleshooting, consultation and support for all LIS modules
• Coordinating and delivering LIS training
• Participating in monitoring and planning system utilization and expansion
• Providing customized and routine reports
• Acting as a primary contact with the information system supplier
