Job Description


JOB PURPOSE

The Supervisor is responsible for planning and coordinating clerical support services either in a clinical and/or administrative environment for a department or service.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school graduation plus additional Office Administration program/course of over one and up to two years or equivalent.
  • Must have two years of related experience including supervisory ability.
  • Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
  • Ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Good work record.
Demonstrated proficiency verified by testing in:
  • Typing 35 WPM (General)
  • Excel 75%
  • Outlook 75%
  • Word 75%
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Supervisor of Support Staff is responsible for:
  • Developing staff work schedules and shift assignments
  • Developing, implementing and/or monitoring policies and procedures
  • Monitoring productivity and providing day-to-day oversight and support
  • Identifying and addressing day-to-day issues
  • Gathering and analyzing data and preparing reports
  • Assisting with the hiring and training new staff
  • Performing support services as required
  • Payroll duties and department finances as required
  • Ensures orientation and training new staff
  • Participates in the performance appraisal and interview process as needed
