The Activity Worker is responsible for organizing and implementing activities for patients.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduation plus an additional program in the field of human services or social sciences of over six months and up to one year in duration or equivalent.
Specialized education or experience may be required in some areas.
Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
Ability to perform the duties of the position.
Good work record.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Activity Worker is responsible for
Planning and implementing activities and events
Encouraging and supporting patients to participate in activities and events
Maintaining equipment, supplies, and activity areas
Observing patient activities and providing relevant information to other health care providers
Scheduling and overseeing volunteers for activities
Maintaining clinical records and documentation
