Safety and Reliability Engineer

We are seeking a Safety and Reliability Engineer to join our team in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of our large space systems. In this role, you will play a crucial part in reviewing system-level designs and performing various analyses, such as safety/hazard analysis, reliability analysis, fault tree analysis, failure mode analysis, and life analysis. Your early identification of safety risks and implementation of effective mitigation strategies will be vital to the success of our projects.

Responsibilities:

- Review system-level designs for large space systems and conduct in-depth safety/hazard analysis, reliability analysis, fault tree analysis, failure mode analysis, and life analysis.
- Proactively identify safety risks and develop comprehensive mitigation plans to ensure the safety and reliability of our systems.
- Define safety and reliability requirements, including the implementation of necessary safety controls.
- Continuously seek process improvements to enhance quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost savings within the organization.

Skills:

- Possess a solid understanding of safety/hazard analysis and reliability fundamentals, with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively.
- Proficient in using MS Office products to analyze and present data in a clear and concise manner.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts and analysis results to diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and propose practical solutions.

Education/Experience:

- Bachelor\'s degree in an engineering discipline is required, providing a solid foundation in engineering principles and methodologies.
- Minimum 3+ years\' experience in a reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety role.
- Experience working in a safety-critical regulated industry such as aerospace, space, transportation, etc. is an asset
