Job Description
We are seeking an experienced
Safety Manager
with a strong background intrucking, fleet operations, and transportation compliance
. The ideal candidate must understandTRANSPORT CANADA/CTA regulations
, driver compliance, audits, logbooks, safety protocols, and accident prevention. This is a critical position responsible for improving safety, reducing claims, and maintaining compliance across our fleet.Key Responsibilities
Manage and enforce all
safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements
for a trucking fleet. Overseedriver onboarding
, orientation, training, and safety coaching. Conductinternal audits
including logbooks, DVIRs, CVOR, NSC compliance, hours-of-service, and equipment records. Investigateaccidents, incidents, and violations
; prepare reports and corrective action plans. Implement and monitorsafety policies
, hazard controls, and risk-reduction strategies. Maintain and improve companyCVOR / NIR RATING
. Work closely with dispatch and operations to resolve safety issues and ensure preventive measures. Manage workplace safety documentation, policies, claims, and regulatory files. Coordinate with insurance providers regarding claims and risk management. Monitor driver behavior (telematics, dashcams, GPS) and conduct safety reviews.Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
