Are you a safety-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced trucking environment? We are looking for an experienced

Safety Manager

to join our team and lead all safety, compliance, and risk-management operations across our fleet. This role is key to maintaining our culture of safety excellence and ensuring our Owner Operator's return home safely every day.


The Safety Manager oversees all aspects of

driver compliance

,

incident investigations

,

regulatory requirements

,

and

safety training programs

. You will partner closely with operations, dispatch, recruitment and HR to promote risk reduction and uphold company and industry standards such as:


National Safety Code (NSC) DOT / FMCSA (if applicable) Provincial/State Transportation Regulations WCB/WorkSafeBC

Key Responsibilities:




? Lead and manage all safety and compliance programs for the fleet

? Conduct incident/accident investigations and implement corrective actions

? Oversee driver qualification files, MVR/abstract reviews, and compliance audits

? Monitor carrier profiles for violations and manage preventive action plans

? Facilitate onboarding safety orientations and ongoing driver training

? Maintain and prepare documents for NSC, DOT, and internal safety audits

? Support divisions with inspections, logbook/HOS compliance, and roadside event tracking

? Manage WCB/WorkSafeBC claims and return-to-work programs (if applicable)

? Ensure fleet safety policies are current, compliant, and consistently followed

? Build strong relationships with drivers to maintain a positive safety culture


Qualifications:




? 3-5+ years of experience in a transportation safety role

? Strong knowledge of NSC, DOT, and provincial regulations

? Experience with driver files, carrier safety profiles, and compliance audits

? Investigative skills with the ability to conduct thorough incident reviews

? Excellent communication and coaching abilities

? Safety certifications considered an asset: Transportation Safety Administrator (TSA)

? Experience with ELD Systems -PeopleNet, Geotab, Omnitracs etc.

? Proficiency with safety systems - Workhub & CarriersEdge
