We are committed to ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance within our transportation department. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Transportation Safety and Compliance Coordinator to join our team and oversee all aspects of transportation safety protocols and regulatory compliance. *Position Overview:* As the Transportation Safety and Compliance Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs and compliance initiatives to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of goods. You will work closely with internal teams, external vendors, and regulatory agencies to uphold industry standards and regulations. *Responsibilities:*

  • Develop and implement transportation safety policies, procedures, and training programs in alignment with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of transportation equipment, facilities, and processes to identify potential safety hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and mitigate risks related to transportation activities.
  • Monitor driver behavior, vehicle maintenance, and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Oversee and manage the process of obtaining and renewing necessary permits, licenses, and certifications.
  • Stay updated on changes in transportation laws and regulations, and adjust company policies accordingly.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, or violations to determine root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to safety and compliance activities.
  • Serve as the point of contact for regulatory agencies and participate in regulatory inspections and audits.
*Qualifications:*
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Transportation Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (Transportation experience).
  • Previous experience (2 years) in transportation safety, compliance, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of transportation laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and recommend effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in transportation management.

  • Certification in Transportation Safety and Compliance
