A Moncton based construction company is looking to add an experienced safety coordinator to their team. We are a member in Good Standing of the New Brunswick Construction Safety Association ( NBCSA) A safe workplace is essential to the success of any company. And as our safety coordinator it would be your responsibility to make sure that our workers are aware of all the hazards onsite. You will be: - Responsible for employee orientation and training - Control employee training records and employee work history - Site hazard assessments, JSA\xe2\x80\x99s, Tool Box meeting agendas. - Incident / accident investigations and reports - Filing and control of all records, and reports - Work closely with Project Managers, Supervisor and employees to implement safe and productive methods of work and resolve day to day safety issues. - The inspection and control of our safety equipment - Inventory recording of: safety equipment, work tools, regular equipment The safety coordinator needs to be a motivated individual. He/she will also have to be able to properly manage his/her time and work with minimum supervision. With projects throughout the province there is some traveling required. Out of town stays are possible but usually of short duration. Employee is compensated for all travel expenses. Most of our work is job specific, therefore you will need to learn and understand the work and the equipment that we use on a day to day basis. The candidate should have some construction safety experience or construction experience and be passionate for a safe workplace. Any experience with Fall Protection rules and regulations is definitely an asset. Working knowledge of English and French is an asset but not a necessary requirement. All New Brunswick Construction Safety Association courses and training are and asset.
