Job Description

The Safety & Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing all safety and regulatory compliance aspects of our trucking operations. This includes ensuring adherence to FMCSA/DOT regulations, managing driver files, conducting training, and assisting in incident investigations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in trucking compliance and is passionate about safety.?Key Responsibilities: o Monitor and ensure compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and state-specific regulations. o Maintain and audit driver qualification files, MVRs, and drug/alcohol testing records. o Conduct safety orientations and ongoing training for drivers and staff. o Track and review Hours of Service (HOS) logs and ELD compliance. o Investigate accidents and incidents, and recommend corrective actions. o Prepare for and assist during DOT audits and roadside inspection follow-ups. o Oversee vehicle maintenance records and inspection schedules. o Implement and promote a strong safety culture within the organization. o Keep up with changes in transportation safety laws and best practices.?Requirements: o High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree a plus). o 2+ years experience in transportation safety/compliance or a similar role. o Strong understanding of FMCSA and DOT regulations. o Experience with ELD systems (e.g., Samsara, KeepTruckin, etc.) is preferred. o Excellent communication and organizational skills. o Proficient in Microsoft Office and compliance tracking software.?Preferred Certifications: o DOT Compliance Certification o OSHA 10 or 30 (general or industry-specific) o First Aid/CPR certification?Benefits: o Competitive pay (based on experience) o Health insurance options o Paid time off and holidays o Opportunities for professional growth o Supportive and safety-focused work environment

Pay: Up to $60,000.00 per year
