Cross Cut Directional Boring is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Safety Coordinator to lead our current safety program and to ensure workplace safety and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction safety, HR processes, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and enforce workplace safety policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with COR (Certificate of Recognition) safety standards and maintain all related certifications
Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and site inspections to ensure compliance with OHS
Investigate workplace incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions
Lead safety training programs
Maintain and update safety records, training logs, and compliance reports.
HR-related tasks, including onboarding, and employee safety training.
Manage and oversee Pro-Rate
Qualifications:
3 years of experience in a construction safety role
COR-related safety certifications required
Strong knowledge of OHS, provincial, and federal safety regulations
Experience in HR
Knowledge of federal and provincial fitness certificate requirements
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
