Position Summary
The Safety and Compliance Administrator is responsible for ensuring that investigations assigned are completed in an unbiased, objective, professional and timely manner in accordance with the Safety Management System (SMS) Manual. The Safety and Compliance Administrator will work to complete assigned SMS report validations. Additionally, the Safety and Compliance Administrator will ensure that audits and Quality Control (QC) checks as assigned are completed unbiasedly and within their respective due dates, as outlined in the applicable schedule.
All findings/observations and results of these investigations, validations, audits and QC checks will be submitted to the Director of Compliance.
The Safety and Compliance Administrator is also responsible for providing daily support and assistance to other members of the Company Operations teams as required and directed by the Director of Compliance.
This is a full time position located in Winnipeg (YWG) MB.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Perform audits of company manuals/procedures as required.
Conduct and document assigned audits, QC checks, investigations and validations.
Demonstrate a cooperative attitude and friendly working relationship with other company departments.
Chair program-related meetings and safety committee level meetings as required.
Create and amend programs, policies and procedures as required.
Work with Compliance department to develop and continually improve program associated training.
Perform accident and incident investigations at the discretion of manager.
Understand current legislation, codes of practice, bulletins and other safe work practices and recommendations.
The Safety and Compliance Administrator may be assigned other duties to assist in the administrative tasks for the company's SMS program as required.
Education and Experience
Grade 12 education
Proficient, hands-on experience with computer software applications, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
Experience in handling confidential or sensitive information
Able to maintain filing systems and basic databases
Indigenous and/or Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset
Able to obtain and maintain RAIC/Ramp Pass (WAA)
Knowledge of aviation/airline products and services considered an asset
Working Conditions
Physical ability to perform all listed job duties
Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
Most work performed in an office environment; contact with staff and the public
Work indoors and outdoors (in all weather conditions)
Safety equipment will be required, hearing protection, safety vests and ramp passes when on ramp
Must be able to travel aboard aircraft to remote stations for auditing purposes
