RESPONSIBILITIES:



Conduct field inspections, audits, and hazard assessments to verify compliance with safety regulations and corporate HSE policies Facilitate site orientations, toolbox talks, and other safety meetings with employees and contractors Support incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions Track and report safety metrics and ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and current Provide coaching and mentoring to site teams to promote a proactive safety culture Liaise with regulatory bodies, clients, and internal teams to address safety concerns Maintain an active presence in the field to support continuous improvement in health and safety performance Assist in the development and implementation of site-specific safety plans and emergency response protocols

QUALIFICATIONS:



Minimum 3-5 years of safety experience in construction, rail, utilities, or industrial field environments NCSO or CSO designation required; CRSP considered an asset Strong knowledge of BC and Alberta OHS legislation, hazard control hierarchy, and incident investigation procedures Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with safety management software (e.g., SiteDocs, SafetySync) is an asset Valid Class 5 driver's license with clean abstract WHMIS, First Aid/CPR, and TDG certifications current and valid
