Adecco is currently recruiting for a Technician - Electrical and Electronics Engineering for a 1 year on-site contract opportunity. This role is with our public sector client in Ottawa, ON. The successful candidate must hold a valid Secret Level clearance that will not expire during the contract.
Work Location: Ottawa, ON
Days of Work: Monday - Friday
Hours of Work: 8am - 4pm
The Technician - Electrical and Electronics Engineering will have the following responsibilities:
Provide on-site Audio-Visual (AV) support
Equipment installations, removals, and moves
Conference room first- and second-line support
Live event setup, teardown, and coordination
Inform supervisor or co-workers of health and safety issues that arise to make them aware of potential dangers
Observe safety and security measures
Perform work independently or with team members;
Track, update, and fulfill service tickets in Assyst;
Do troubleshooting on AV equipment (portable and fixed);
Learn hands-on and on-the-job with the help of DIMEUS 3-4 technicians;
Update trackers using Microsoft Office tools (primarily Excel, Powerpoint, and Word) as required
Communicate with clients through oral and written mediums (primarily over the phone and email)
The Technician - Electrical and Electronics Engineering must have the following:
Certificate, diploma, or degree in a specific relevant discipline from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution
Minimum cumulative 2 years' experience troubleshooting, installing, and supporting (first-line support) AV, conference room, and network devices
Minimum cumulative 2 years' experience interacting with clients, providing system capabilities and limitations, and providing verbal briefs/tutorials at the user level
Ability to move and lift up to 50lbs throughout the shift without difficulty
Must be able to bend, twist, crawl or stand for long periods of time without difficulty
Ability to work under pressure with proper work prioritization for situations including short turnarounds and VIP/VVIP clients
