About Us:
At Fourth Line Animal Hospital, we pride ourselves on providing compassionate and comprehensive veterinary care in a welcoming and progressive environment. We are a small animal hospital in Oakville, with an amazing and lively team that loves to have fun while enjoying what we do. Our team values learning, teamwork, and a positive workplace culture. We serve a loyal client base with a wide variety of medical and surgical cases, making every day interesting and rewarding! Our hours are 8-6 Monday to Friday, as well as Saturdays 9-1 (closed on Sundays).
What We're Looking For:
A compassionate and reliable RVT or experienced trained Veterinary Technician
Excellent communication and multitasking skills
A strong team player with a willingness to learn
Experience in anesthesia monitoring, lab work, radiology, and client education
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Applicants should have a positive attitude, be able to work well under pressure and should be willing to perform a wider variety of roles!
[RVT License in good standing with the provincial association (e.g. OAVT if in Ontario)]
Assisting with exams and procedures
Patient care and monitoring
Administering medications and treatments
Surgical prep and anesthesia monitoring
Documenting and maintaining accurate veterinary medical records
Managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment: Multi-tasking is KEY!
Client communication and education- communication in a compassionate and professional manner with clients and fellow team members
Lab sample processing and diagnostics- hematology, clinical chemistry, urinalysis and cytology)
Usage of laboratory equipment- IDEXX In-house diagnostic equipment
Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the hospital
Maintaining and logging proper inventory of medical supplies, food and medication
Organizing and ordering of medical supplies, food and medication through Supplier
