Huawei's Waterloo Research Center is actively involved in cutting-edge research in the areas of data security and privacy protection for enterprise, mobile, IoT devices, and AI engines among others. The Data Security & Privacy Research Team is looking to hire a Rust Developer to join a rapidly growing team of experts who define the next generation of Huawei's security technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science (CS)
• Proficient in Rust language with 3+ of Rust development experience
• 5+ years of C/C++ development experience
• Worked on JS and WASM programming, WASM Runtime development skill is preferred.
• Past experience with ARM and x86 Instruction Set Architecture, and Assembly Language programming
• Familiarity with Linux development environment, Docker container usage, and source code management platforms such as Git

Qualifications Considered an Asset

• Have knowledge of LLVM compiler architecture, and experience in LLVM compiler front-end/back-end development is preferred.
• Understand memory safety vulnerabilities and WASM memory safety features.
• Past research experience in memory safety enhancement
• Familiarity with various data structures and algorithms
• Experience in cryptography, security protocols and encryption algorithms
