Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expediter to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that food orders are processed efficiently and accurately, facilitating smooth communication between the kitchen and front-of-house staff. This position is essential for maintaining high standards of customer service and food quality.

Duties

Coordinate food orders from the kitchen to ensure timely delivery to guests. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to streamline operations. Monitor the quality of food being served, ensuring it meets safety and presentation standards. Assist with food preparation and cooking as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and service areas. Operate POS systems for order processing and cash handling when necessary. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly. Support team members in various tasks, including serving, cleaning, and meal preparation.

Requirements

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred. Strong communication skills to facilitate effective interaction with team members and guests. Knowledge of food safety practices and handling procedures. Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus. Kitchen experience including cooking, cleaning, and meal preparation is highly desirable. Customer service experience in hospitality or guest services is beneficial. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with others in a team-oriented setting.
