The Grange of Prince Edward winery in Hillier, ON is looking for several wine steward / event staff (part-time / seasonal) to join our 20+ person strong team. We are located at 990 Closson Rd. in beautiful Prince Edward County. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, engaged, and is someone who will actively contribute to a positive team environment that emphasizes cooperation and collaboration.

This position is a combination of front-of-house and back-of-house duties. As a Food Runner, you will assist in delivering dishes from the kitchen to guests, ensuring accuracy, presentation, and exceptional service. As a Dishwasher, you will help maintain a clean and organized kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.


Responsibilities:

Prioritize our guests' experience. Engage in a warm, welcoming manner to create a positive first impression. Contribute to a positive team environment that emphasizes cooperation and collaboration. Deliver food from the kitchen to guests in a timely and professional manner. Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure order accuracy. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing station. Clear tables of plates, glasses, bottles, food, and garbage to proper areas. Wash dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently. Assist with basic kitchen prep as needed. Follow all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Comfortable carrying multiple plates and working in a customer-facing role. Reliable and detail-oriented. Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is a plus but not required. The physical ability to stand for extended periods, carry a tray of glasses (20 lbs) up a flight of stairs or over uneven terrain, and thrive in a frequently fast-paced environment is required. ?Availability to work weekends, evenings, winery events, and also weddings / private dinners that frequently run past midnight.
