Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable

Rubber Roller Extruder Operator

to set up, operate, and monitor rubber extrusion machines used in the production of rubber rollers. This role is critical to ensuring high-quality rubber products that meet our production standards and customer specifications.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate rubber roller extrusion machines according to work orders and technical specifications. Monitor extrusion process parameters (e.g., temperature, pressure, feed rate) and make adjustments as necessary to ensure consistent quality. Inspect finished rollers for defects, uniformity, and adherence to quality standards using calipers, micrometers, diameter tapes and visual checks. Perform basic machine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting to reduce downtime and ensure safe operation. Load raw rubber compounds into machines and manage material flow during production. Record production data, downtime, and quality checks accurately in logs. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Work collaboratively with production manager, lead hand and other production teams.

Qualifications

Prior experience operating extrusion machinery, preferably in rubber or plastics manufacturing. Proven mechanical knowledge is a must. Familiarity with machining processes and basic math and measurement skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and safety instructions. Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting equipment issues. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating strong communication skills. Must adhere to safety regulations and maintain a focus on quality throughout the production process.
