Ontario Government Client is actively seeking a skilled Data Migration. As an Data Migration, Lead and showcase your expertise in seamlessly transitioning from legacy to modern tech platforms. Key requirements include proven experience, proficiency in COBOL, JavaScript, SQL, and SaaS Cloud-based technologies (preferably Azure). Leadership attributes, technical competency, and stakeholder communication skills are crucial. If you have a knack for successfully planning and executing data migrations while prioritizing quality and budget, this role is for you! SAP experience and Public Sector exposure are advantageous. Note: The candidate is present on-site for three days each week.

Must-Haves:

Proven experience as a Data Migration Lead for planning and executing migrations from legacy to modern tech platforms.

Expertise in SaaS Cloud-based technologies, preferably Azure.

Proficiency in COBOL (Micro Focus RM COBOL), JavaScript, SQL, and scripting routines.

Nice to Have:

SAP experience is advantageous.

Public Sector Experience is an asset.

Demonstrated leadership as a Data Migration Lead, ensuring successful migration planning and execution.

Proven ability to set priorities, deliver quality results on time and on budget.

Leadership in determining suitable data migration performance measures.

Technical Competency

Experience in data migration staging, ETL processes, and tools.

Proficiency in analyzing data in source systems, identifying data cleanliness issues, and designing feedback processes.

Expertise in data models, design artifacts, data architecture, and mapping.

Automation script development for extraction, cleansing, and load processes.

Strong understanding of security and privacy best practices.

Asset: Experience migrating from legacy, On-prem non-relational DB environments to modern SaaS platforms.

Stakeholder Needs

Proven ability to communicate effectively and anticipate stakeholder needs across multi-sector environments.

Analytical skills to propose improvement strategies within legislative and policy parameters.
