• Microsoft BI stack including Power BI for analytic reporting solution experience including ETL experience and experience migrating solutions from Oracle/Cognos/Informatica BI
• Leading technical team including BI dashboard developers, and assisting architects with documentation
• Experience with R-scripts and converting requirements from R Scripts into ETL Scripts.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience ETL development experience using SSIS / ADF in a data warehousing environment or large data migration; Working experience in debugging mappings, transformations and source qualifier files and Unit testing the newly developed ETL components.
• Experience working with Oracle and MSSQL databases.

Description
Responsibilities:

• Undertakes the design of hosting technology solutions based on the client\xe2\x80\x99s service specifications, standards, policies, best practices and cost models, in order to meet client application business requirement and project/initiative deliverables.
• General Skills:
• Knowledge of integrated networking technologies, mainframe, midrange server, enterprise storage and SAN, and personal computer system technologies
• Knowledge of related best practices, OPS directory/messaging standards, standard facilities infrastructure/architecture management, facility service delivery processes, infrastructures policies, procedures and direction, cost models and procurement processes,
• Ability to gather client business requirements; corporate I&IT information mandates, client information technology strategic plans, environment and standards
• Ability to participate in the development of solutions and provide advice on short/long term solution service development activities.
• Knowledge of leading edge technologies design criteria, security and recovery procedures, preparation of technical specifications for installation, testing and performance of integrated, multi-services systems; assess performance and capacity of existing system making recommendations for improving performance and develop technical documentation.
• Experience planning, migrating, implementing and sustaining large complex system development projects
• Knowledge of technology developments, trends and new products to evaluated application to client short and long term technology requirements.
• Basic knowledge of project management methodology (e.g. PMBOK), analytical tools and processes.
• Conceptual and analytical skills to assess and evaluate client needs and conduct cost/benefit analyses for new technology requirements in planning and designing solutions.
• Experience designing and developing large, complex, highly available, mission critical server applications
• Experience with systems evaluation to assess conditions, technical performance and capacity of existing systems and determine need and feasibility of expansion, renovation or replacement
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills, verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills and negotiation skills, team work skills
• A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines
• Specific Skills:
• Proven experience of working with data as well as the related functional applications
• Conversant with Power BI Design / Accessibility Standards, works with business to drive out KPIs and assists with visualization and impactful insights leveraging knowledge of business domain data to drive out business needs using Power BI Proof of Concepts/mock-ups.
• Demonstrated experience with capturing source to target requirements, supporting business rules and dataflow requirements, comfortable navigating databases using SQL to conduct analysis in support of feasibility and documentation.
• Demonstrated experience with: Microsoft Azure Data Factory Services, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI, DataStage, Quality Stage, Visual Studio, Team Foundation Services, SQL Server Management Studio
• An asset if the resource also has Erwin Data Modeler, Power Designer (Hands-on Development Role)
• Proven ability to guide the architecture leveraging Azure cloud services, including effective standard use of Microsoft Stack tools and services critical for the integrity, quality and pace of delivery.
• Demonstrated knowledge and deep MS stack experience (10 Years) with at least 4 years with Microsoft Azure Data Factory experience
• Demonstrated experience with data ingestion from multiple sources, staging and data cleansing, including dimensional modeling and data model architecture and design aligned with data standards and analytics needs of various stakeholders. Includes creation of data warehouses, views, cubes, and other data services products.

Experience and Skill Set Requirements
Technical Experience - 35%

• Experience with data architecture designs and technologies for BI solutions, for both on-premise and cloud solutions
• Experience leading projects that involve technology upgrade/migration to Microsoft BI Suite; determine which part of existing solution needs to be migrated or rebuilt
• 10+ years of hands on experience ETL development experience using SSIS / ADF in a data warehousing environment or large data migration; Working experience in debugging mappings, transformations and source qualifier files and Unit testing the newly developed ETL components
• Demonstrated knowledge and deep MS stack experience (10 Years) with at least 4 years with Microsoft Azure Data Factory experience
• Experience with: Microsoft Azure Data Factory Services, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI, DataStage, Quality Stage, Visual Studio, Team Foundation Services, SQL Server Management Studio
• An asset if the resource can demonstrate direct experience with Erwin Data Modeler, Power Designer (Hands-on Development Role)
• Experience with role-based access control implementation, such as with AzureAD
• Experience working with Oracle and MSSQL databases
• Extensive experience with source control and environment management
• Experience with creating documentations such as data dictionary and data source to target mapping; provide feedback/direction to team on how existing documentations can be improved
• Experience using PowerDesigner to review data models, as well as make changes and generate DDL\'s
• Experience with data ingestion from multiple sources, staging and data cleansing, including dimensional modeling and data model architecture and design aligned with data standards and analytics needs of various stakeholders. Includes creation of data warehouses, views, cubes, and other data services products.
• Experience in developing the Application Code package using tools such as Azure DevOps. Build automation experience is an asset

Core Skills - 35%

• Long term vision: be able to work with stakeholders to define technical roadmap for current applications, and provide recommendation
• Working knowledge of systems design and development, and related methods, techniques, practices and standards enable you to analyze and define clients\' business and information technology requirements pertaining to data flow and data integration; provide recommendation to business
• Demonstrates Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess clients\' business priorities and needs; to evaluate business and technical design alternatives
• Demonstrates ability to guide the architecture leveraging Azure cloud services, including effective standard use of Microsoft Stack tools and services critical for the integrity, quality and pace of delivery.
• Working knowledge of technology, data, databases, applications, and networking techniques, tools and practices enable you to lead the design and development of infrastructure related projects.

Project Experience and Techniques - 20%

• Demonstrates lead design experience with technology upgrade / migration projects, and show acumen in being able to evaluate and determine best path going forward
• Demonstrates experience leading discussions with stakeholders to elicit requirements, developing/consulting on options and solutions, facilitating the resolution of I&IT and Business issues. Ability to drill down on business pain points and determine the right solution, rather than delivering only the item that\xe2\x80\x99s being requested by stakeholders
• Demonstrates development and design experience with SDLC processes, Agile and Waterfall methodologies

Public Sector Experience: 10%

• Previous public sector experience in an organization of equivalent size or complexity in Public Service
• Demonstrates experience designing and developing applications that comply with GOITS standards and general processes would be an asset;
