CareKW is looking for skilled and reliable nurses to join our Nursing Team to provide care in a school environment.

Waterloo

Hours - 11am - 4pm

Should be available Monday to Friday

Role Includes:

Medication administration Perform physical patient assessments Perform patient and family health teaching Monitor, assess, and document changes in the patient's condition Assist with activities of daily living Collaborate with the inter-professional healthcare team to determine and implement the patient plan of care Additional opportunities as assigned by Nursing Supervisor

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program Current registration with the College of Nurses, candidate must be in good standing Experience with G-Tube Care and feed is required Tracheostomy and ventilation care experience is considered an asset Experience in community nursing is considered an asset Valid work/study permit (if applicable) Current CPR/First Aid Certification Vulnerable Sector Screening (within 3 months of hire) Up-to-date Immunization Records (MMR, TDAP, Varicella, Hep B, COVID-19) Excellent documentation skills Ability to follow client care plan Strong communication skills Strong problem-solving skills Excellent patient service skills Reliable transportation Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle is considered an asset
