Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our Retirement home. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care to the residents in the home. The RPN will utilize their expertise in nursing practices, medical terminology, medication administration, and patient assessment to support patients' health and well-being. Experience with electronic health records such as point click care is preferred.

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive patient care in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards Manage individualized care plan for each resident. Monitor patient vital signs and assess health status regularly Document patient information accurately using electronic health record systems like pointclick care Assist with pain management, case management, and discharge planning Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medication usage, and health maintenance Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and safety protocols

Experience

Proven experience in LTC/ retirement home is preferred Prior experience in nursing home or assisted living environments highly desirable Familiarity with medical terminology and medication administration procedures essential Experience with senior patient populations, including dementia or chronic illness care, is a plus Laboratory experience such as phlebotomy enhances candidacy Demonstrated competence in using electronic health records systems like Epic or Cerner is preferred Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are required

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week
