Tasks

Administer medications Apply aseptic techniques including sterile dressing Conduct specimen collection Ensure infection control Monitor nutritional intake Observe and record medication's therapeutic and side effects Record medication's therapeutic and side effects observations in patient files Take vital signs Monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures Monitor patients' progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of healthcare team Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, co-ordinate and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician Address and document symptoms and changes in patients' conditions Provide nursing care Operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment
