POSTING DATE: November 18, 2024 POSTING #493-24 (CUPE Service)HURON PERTH HEALTHCARE ALLIANCENOTICE OF VACANCYPOSITION: REGISTERED PRACTICAL NURSEIntegrated Stroke Unit/TelemetryPrimary Site: StratfordRegular Part-Time(Shifts: 12-hour day/nights, 7 days/week may be subject to change)REPORTS TO: Manager, ICU, Telemetry, Stroke and Cardiorespiratory ProgramDATE REQUIRED: As soon as possibleSALARY: $35.99 to $38.16 per hourQUALIFICATIONS:- Current Certificate of Registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario- Current BLS CertificationEXPERIENCE:- Recent clinical experience (minimum two years) in Cardiac Care and Acute Stroke/Stroke Rehab Nursing preferred- Recent related courses, in-services in Cardiac Care Nursing and Acute Stroke/Stroke Rehab Nursing preferredSKILLS/ABILITIES:- Ability to plan, organize and problem solve- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development- Ability to work independently and as a team member- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal- Excellent physical assessment skills- Ability to understand and interpret typical and atypical telemetry and cardiac monitoring preferredREQUIRED SKILLS (to be completed within 3 months of hire):- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification- Recent Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia course or equivalent (current experience)- Recent 12 lead ECG interpretation course, or equivalent (current experience)APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL THE POSITION IS FILLED**Applicants may be eligible for Canada Student Loan Forgiveness and Tuition Support Program for Nurses programs**Please be advised that we are no longer accepting emailed or paper-based resumes.
