Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and demonstrate proficiency in various nursing practices. This role involves working closely with patients to provide high-quality care in a variety of settings, including hospitals, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. The RPN will be responsible for assessing patient needs, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and assessing patient conditions. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Document patient information accurately using electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner. Assist in pain management strategies for patients experiencing discomfort. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for effective case management. Deliver care to pediatric patients, ensuring their specific needs are met. Support patients in home care settings, promoting independence and quality of life. Conduct phlebotomy procedures as required for laboratory testing. Maintain knowledge of medical terminology and documentation standards. Engage with patients suffering from dementia or other cognitive impairments, providing compassionate support.

Experience

Candidates should have prior experience in nursing roles that may include:

Hospital experience with a focus on acute care settings. Experience in pediatrics or caring for children. Background in home care or assisted living environments. Familiarity with senior care practices and nursing home operations. Knowledge of pain management techniques and case management processes. Laboratory experience related to phlebotomy and specimen collection. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively within a team, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care across diverse populations.
