Summary
We're looking for an experienced RPAS Training Instructor to deliver and develop industry-leading training programs. You'll be responsible for conducting Transport Canada-compliant RPAS courses (Basic and Advanced), as well as leading the design and implementation of Beyond Visual Line-of-Sight (BVLOS) training programs. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the next generation of RPAS pilots and training standards in Canada.
Responsibilities
Deliver classroom and hands-on instruction for Basic and Advanced RPAS certificates
Develop and implement advanced BVLOS training curriculum
Provide flight reviews, evaluations, and mentorship for students
Ensure all training materials meet Transport Canada and industry standards
Stay current with evolving RPAS regulations, technologies, and best practices
Contribute to the growth of RPM's training programs with innovative approaches
Qualifications
Ability to engage diverse audiences effectively
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Transport Canada Advanced RPAS Certificate (required)
Demonstrated operational experience as an RPAS pilot
Strong understanding of aviation regulations, airspace, and BVLOS operations
Teaching, training, or mentoring experience (formal or informal)
Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills
Assets (Nice-to-Have)
Experience in curriculum development or aviation instruction
Background in manned aviation (PPL, CPL, or ATPL)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$100.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 - 40 per week
