Position



Our team is seeking a highly motivated Royalty Compliance Supervisor to play a key role in increasing assurance of royalty compliance on PrairieSky's Fee Lands. This exciting and challenging position is ideal for a result-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys tackling complex problems, and is passionate about uncovering and delivering solutions through in-depth investigation. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high degree of accountability and professionalism in all interactions.

This is a full-time permanent position.

Responsibilities



>

Identify, investigate, verify, and manage royalty compliance issues through to resolution, maintaining clear and effective communication with stakeholders throughout the process.

>

Effectively utilize information systems containing large volumes of data to investigate and analyze issues, operating in Excel, Qbyte, LandRite, Petrinex, and other internal systems.

>

Act as a trusted resource for royalty-related information and provide guidance to both internal and external stakeholders.

>

Lead team of Royalty Compliance Analysts through work allocation and coaching to execute group and company objectives.

>

Internal focus to support team productivity by directing work and implementing process improvement initiatives to efficiently deliver assigned work.

>

Support the Manager, Royalty Compliance in providing reports as required for monthly royalty-related metrics and quarterly Board of Directors reports.

Qualifications



>

Minimum 8 years of experience, including time in a leadership role, preferably with background in operational or joint venture accounting.

>

CPA designation is an asset.

>

Demonstrated expertise in analyzing complex issues and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

>

Demonstrate solid leadership when managing and mentoring staff, including the ability to develop others and to effectively manage performance.

>

Working knowledge of both freehold and overriding royalties, as well as land agreements (mineral leases, farmouts, etc.), is an asset.

>

Strong organizational skills including time management, prioritization, and the ability to develop efficient workflows.

>

Excellent communication skills to effectively share information and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines (Land and Accounting).

>

Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP & pivot tables) and familiarity with Accumap, LandRite, Petrinex and Qbyte are highly desirable.
