City Clean is seeking a full-time

Route Service Representative (RSR) - Driver

to provide route service safely and effectively to our customer base.

Founded in 1972, City Clean has been providing mat and facility rental services to its customers in Southern Ontario for almost 50 years. City Clean provides safe and environmentally conscious products and facility services for a variety of industries, including healthcare, warehousing, property management and commercial and retail spaces.

As a frontline employee, the RSR interacts daily with our customers to deliver a variety of products and services, including, but not limited to mats, mops, paper products, and restroom supplies. As a brand ambassador for City Clean, the RSR is responsible for providing high-quality customer service and ensuring that the right products and services are delivered daily.

As the main point of contact with customers, the RSR is responsible for maintaining customer relations and ensuring that customer requests are actioned and communicated back to the office in order to provide a seamless customer experience from the City Clean Team.

Responsibilities



Four-day work week Monday to Thursday with a start time between 6-6:30 a.m. (Fridays as required for meetings, holiday delivery adjustments, etc.). Ensure the scheduled pick-up and delivery of products to effectively service our customers daily. Drive a company-owned truck to and from customer locations. Responsible for collecting cash on delivery for COD customers. Complete daily truck maintenance, including circle checks, fueling, general tidiness and reporting any issues/defects to Management. Safe and responsible driving and work practices. Follow all procedures when performing job duties. Proactively identify customer issues and find prompt solutions or provide detailed communications for the office to action in a timely manner. Identify and initiate potential customer leads and any opportunities for additional products with existing customers. Maintain strong relationships with our customer base. Act as the brand ambassador for City Clean by professionally representing the brand with positive and enthusiastic support for our products and services at all times. Attend monthly service meetings (approx. 1-2 hours) and any other meetings as required. Responsible for daily checkout at the end of the day. Adhere and promote all City Clean values, policies, procedures, and protocols. Other duties as assigned.

Skills



Excellent driving skills and comfort driving a 20 ft commercial truck. Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal). Excellent problem-solving skills. Good navigation skills. Ability to retain product knowledge and route details. Good time management skills. Very responsible and reliable. Sense of urgency when dealing with customer requests.

Work Environment and Physical Effort



Ability to work in all weather conditions: hot, cold, rain, snow, etc. Ability to retrieve products from truck safely (bending, pulling, reaching). Physically capable of repeatedly lifting between 10 to 80 pounds. Ability to walk various distances as required for delivery. Ability to sit for various periods of time while driving. Physically capable of climbing in and out of delivery truck.

Qualifications



Prefer High School Diploma or equivalent Experience driving larger vehicles or trucks (2-3 years experience preferred) Valid G licence in good standing (current and clean driver's abstract) Reliable transportation Must be insurable on City Clean's auto insurance policy
