Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable Route Driver to join our team. The Route Driver will be responsible for delivering supplies and collecting waste from various locations efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to deliver products along designated routes
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
- Perform minimal warehouse duties as needed
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations

Skills

- Experience in driving and navigating routes throughout Ontario

- Handy man skills an asset. Product installation and mounting containers on a wall will be required
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and operate a pallet jack (tow motor)
- Strong English communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
- Familiar with truck inspections and e-logs
- Ability to drive a 26 foot truck with Air Brakes

Additional Information

Overnight trips are rotated between drivers (0-4 nights per month) Electronic logbooks used RPRA used when transporting hazardous or biomedical waste The use of dollies, carts and pump trucks required. Primarily 18ft trucks used, with one 26ft truck with air brakes
A typical day is 300km of driving and 10 stops. Start times vary from 5-7am which generally reflect the end of day time as a typical day is 9.5-10 hours.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.50-$25.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
