The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe execution of all Corrective, Preventative and Predictive maintenance tasks associated with the mechanical systems and equipment for the Montney asset (gas process facilities and field) to maintain safe and reliable plant operations. This is a 14/14 rotational position with flight coverage and camp accommodation provided.Responsibilities:

  • Support and comply with the policies, goals, efforts, and programs of CPC's Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System. Ensure HSE issues are given primary consideration in all activities undertaken within area of responsibility. Unsafe acts and/or conditions, no matter in what area of responsibility, are to be reported so corrective actions can be taken.
  • Provide mechanical/rotating equipment support to Operations, as well as provide guidance to contract staff on shift.
  • Responsible for the complete operation and maintenance of all mechanical/rotating equipment and systems.
  • Ensure that all tools and equipment necessary to carry out safe and efficient work are available and in good working condition.
  • Coordinate the mechanical/rotating equipment control activities to maintain plant availability targets and search for process enhancement initiatives.
  • Support the development and execution of MOC (Management of Change) work.
  • Provide input to Maintenance Planners for task list development for maintenance plans and corrective work orders.
  • Work with Maintenance Planners to support them in the development of corrective maintenance work plans.
  • Work with Field Scheduler and Maintenance Superintendent to ensure the efficient and effective execution of the 7, 28, and 120 Day Integrated work plans.
  • Execute the 7-day Maintenance work schedules as assigned.
  • Complete unplanned, corrective maintenance work as required.
  • Provide on-call support for urgent work as required.
  • Development and ongoing updating of start-up / shut down procedures and safe operating practices for the Montney facilities mechanical/rotating equipment.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5-10 years of Mechanical/Rotating equipment experience with valid Inter-Provincial Journeyman certification.
  • Strong computer skills (MS products - Word; Excel; Project; PowerPoint)
  • Strong knowledge of safe work practices and procedures for mechanical systems
  • Ability to coach and mentor junior Mechanics in the efficient, effective, and safe execution of mechanical maintenance activities
  • Strong knowledge of the SAP PM module for workorder planning and processing
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis without restrictions
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 - 10 years of Oil &/or Gas field experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience in gas plant process equipment is highly desirable.
