Position Summary:Tacten is seeking professional, energetic, and forward-thinking JP Pipefitters with IRATA (Rope Access) certification to support our client site at CNRL Albian in Fort McMurray, AB for their upcoming Spring Shutdown! Responsibilities:Installation and Assembly:

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and isometric drawings.
• Assemble and install piping systems and related equipment following specifications.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using various tools and equipment.
• Install supports, valves, and other control equipment.

Maintenance and Repair:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair piping systems.
• Perform regular maintenance to ensure system integrity and performance.
• Replace defective or worn components as necessary.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Ensure work is performed in compliance with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work collaboratively with other trades, contractors, and team members.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and project managers regarding project status and any issues encountered.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and less experienced pipefitters.

Requirements:Position Requirements

• Journeyman Pipefitter Certification Required
• IRATA Level 1 required, or willingness to obtain. We provide free training!

Safety Certifications

• CSTS/OSSA or OSSA BSO or OSSA CSO
• CSE/M (Confined Space and Monitor and Entry)
• ESC Fall Protection an asset

• 6/1 turnaround rotation, 12 hrs/day
