We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Room Checker to join our hospitality team. In this vital role, you will ensure that guest rooms and public areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and comfort. Please note if room checking hours are not available we will offer you housekeeping hours. Wage for housekeeping 16.15$ an hour and room checking is 16.75$ an hour.
Duties
Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms, suites, and public spaces to verify cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation
Identify and report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to the appropriate departments
Ensure all rooms are stocked with necessary supplies and amenities before guest check-in
Maintain detailed records of room conditions, inspection results, and any corrective actions taken
Collaborate with housekeeping staff to communicate priorities and coordinate cleaning schedules efficiently
Follow established protocols for sanitation, including proper handling of linens, waste disposal, and disinfecting surfaces
Assist in training new team members on inspection standards and procedures
Support the overall cleanliness and tidiness of the property by performing janitorial tasks as needed, including floor care and industrial cleaning
Qualifications
Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial work, or custodial roles within hospitality or industrial environments
Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care methods, and sanitation standards
Familiarity with hotel operations and guest service expectations is highly desirable
Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, lifting, and detailed visual inspections
Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying issues before they affect guest experience
Good communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and report findings accurately
Prior experience in housekeeping management or supervisory roles is a plus but not required
