The Roofing & Siding Operations Manager is responsible for the full execution, performance, and profitability of all roofing and siding operations. This role oversees foremen, crews, scheduling, quality control, safety compliance, materials, and operational systems to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to company and manufacturer standards. This is a leadership role requiring strong field experience, decisive management, and accountability for results. --- ## Core Responsibilities ### Operations Oversight ? Manage all active roofing and siding projects across multiple crews ? Ensure operational alignment between sales, production, and logistics ? Develop and enforce standardized installation procedures and workflows ? Drive efficiency, productivity, and margin control ? Identify operational bottlenecks and implement corrective solutions --- ### Leadership & Personnel Management ? Recruit, train, and retain foremen and installation crews ? Set performance expectations and hold teams accountable ? Conduct performance reviews and corrective actions ? Enforce company policies, attendance standards, and conduct requirements ? Build leadership depth and succession within field operations --- ### Scheduling & Production Planning ? Plan and manage crew schedules to maximize productivity ? Coordinate project sequencing to reduce downtime and inefficiencies ? Adjust schedules based on weather, materials, and manpower ? Ensure jobs are staffed appropriately for scope and complexity --- ### Technical Oversight Roofing Systems ? Asphalt shingle roofing ? Snap-Lok metal roofing ? Mechanical seam metal roofing Siding Systems ? Vinyl, metal, fiber cement, engineered wood, and related exterior cladding ? Ensure all installations meet: Manufacturer specifications Building codes Warranty requirements Company quality standards --- ### Quality Control & Warranty Protection ? Implement and enforce quality control checkpoints ? Reduce deficiencies, rework, and callbacks ? Investigate and resolve installation-related issues ? Protect manufacturer and company warranties through proper execution --- ### Safety & Compliance ? Enforce all health and safety policies without exception ? Ensure compliance with: Provincial safety regulations Fall protection standards Equipment and PPE requirements ? Conduct site audits and incident reviews ? Maintain safety documentation and certifications --- ### Materials & Logistics Management ? Coordinate material ordering, delivery, and staging ? Reduce waste, theft, and material loss ? Work with suppliers to ensure product availability and accuracy ? Monitor inventory levels and job costing impacts --- ### Financial & Performance Accountability ? Manage labor efficiency and production costs ? Monitor job profitability and margin performance ? Review production reports, time tracking, and variances ? Support accurate job costing and forecasting ? Contribute to annual operational budgets --- ### Customer Experience & Issue Resolution ? Oversee resolution of escalated customer concerns ? Ensure professional on-site conduct and communication ? Maintain high customer satisfaction and brand reputation --- ## Required Qualifications ? Minimum 7-10 years experience in roofing and/or siding ? Proven leadership experience managing multiple crews or foremen ? Strong technical knowledge of: Shingle roofing Snap-Lok metal roofing Mechanical seam metal roofing Siding systems ? Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts ? Strong organizational, scheduling, and decision-making skills ? Valid driver's license --- ## Preferred Certifications ? Fall Protection ? First Aid / CPR ?
