Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roofer/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to perform various tasks related to roofing and construction. This role involves working both independently and as part of a team to ensure high-quality workmanship on residential and commercial roofing projects.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain roofs using various materials such as shingles, metal, and tiles. Assist in the preparation of job sites by clearing debris and setting up necessary equipment. Perform heavy lifting and carry materials to designated areas on the job site. Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate installation according to specifications. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks including caulking and sealing. Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to complete roofing projects efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety on the job site.

Requirements

Previous experience in roofing or general labor is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools commonly used in roofing applications. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as needed throughout the workday. Basic knowledge of blueprint reading is a plus; training will be provided for those lacking this skill. Strong problem-solving skills with a maintenance person mentality for addressing on-site challenges. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment. Commitment to safety protocols and practices while on the job site.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$23.50 per hour

Monday to Friday Weekends as needed
