Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Roofer/Laborer to join our team. This position involves working on various roofing projects, assisting in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofs. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be physically fit, and possess a willingness to learn and grow in the roofing trade.

Duties

Assist in the installation of roofing systems, including shingles, metal, and flat roofs. Perform repairs on existing roofs to ensure they are watertight and structurally sound. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks. Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications. Engage in heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment. Apply caulking and sealants to ensure proper waterproofing. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Skills

Proficiency with hand tools commonly used in roofing and construction. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as needed. Experience or knowledge in carpentry is a plus. Familiarity with blueprint reading to follow project plans accurately. Basic maintenance person skills for general maintenance tasks related to roofing. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
