Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Roofer/carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in roofing and carpentery installation and repair, with a strong focus on safety, quality workmanship, and efficiency. This role offers opportunities to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial buildings, contributing to the creation and maintenance of durable roofing systems. Candidates should be comfortable working at heights and handling various tools and materials required for roofing and carpentry tasks.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and replace roofs using various materials such as shingles, metal, or membrane systems Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation Use hand tools such as hammers, saws, and caulking guns to complete roofing tasks Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely and efficiently Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing of roofs Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris removal Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and meet safety standards Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality and durability

Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools common in roofing and construction work Strong background in construction, carpentry, or maintenance person experience Ability to read blueprints accurately for precise installation Experience with caulking techniques for waterproofing applications Physical strength for heavy lifting and working at heights for extended periods Knowledge of safety protocols related to roofing operations Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
