Job Duties:

Install, repair or replace built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel

Install, repair or replace single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions

Install sheet metal flashings

Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level

Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools

Set up scaffolding to provide safe access to roofs

May estimate materials required and quote costs.

Oversee the integrity of applied various low sloped roofing systems, including SBS, EPDM, TPO.

Flat roofers will assist with removal of old roofs, install new roofs, and perform repairs

Erects scaffolding and reads blueprints.

Requirements:

Need to be able to communicate in English :

orally and written

Experience 5 years

Valid drivers license is an asset

Willing to work weekends as required

Physically demanding and requires handling heavy loads

Overtime may be required

Work at various locations in Edmonton

Able to work in noisy, dusty, dangerous and outdoor conditions

Lift up to 45 kg weight repeatedly

Willing to work in all weather conditions
