Job Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in need of care. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities by offering personalized care in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks aimed at ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of those you care for.

Duties

Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance. Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication administration, and mobility support. Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment. Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living space. Support clients with dementia care or hospice care needs as required. Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in their daily routines. Assist with heavy lifting when necessary to help clients move or reposition themselves safely. Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals regarding client status.

Skills

Experience in assisted living or nursing home settings is preferred. Strong background in patient care, including senior care and working with individuals with disabilities. Knowledge of dementia care practices is an asset. Ability to perform caregiving tasks efficiently while maintaining a compassionate demeanor. Proficient in cleaning and maintaining a hygienic environment for clients. Familiarity with meal preparation techniques that cater to dietary restrictions or preferences. Capable of administering medications as per prescribed guidelines while ensuring client safety. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
