Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled AZ/DZ Roll-Off Truck Driver to join our team at Capital Contractors Ltd. The ideal candidate will safely and efficiently transport dumpster bins across Ottawa. This role requires strong knowledge of roll-off operations, manual transmission driving, and the ability to assist with light mechanical work and yard maintenance when needed. You will play a key role in ensuring timely deliveries while upholding our excellent safety record and trusted local reputation built over 20+ years.

Your Role

Operate manual transmission roll-off trucks to deliver, collect, switch, install, and remove dumpsters Safely load, secure, and tarp all materials for transport Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections; report defects, safety concerns, or damage immediately Pick up and transport partial/full loads to designated facilities for dumping Maintain a neat appearance and professional attitude with clients Complete required paperwork accurately (inspection reports, scale tickets, mileage logs) Keep client sites clean by removing any spilled material before departure Communicate effectively with dispatch and team members regarding schedules and issues Assist with light mechanical work, maintenance projects, and yard upkeep Participate in paid training and follow all company safety protocols Attend company events (BBQs, team outings) to foster a positive team culture

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid AZ or DZ driver's license Minimum 1 year roll-off dumpster experience (drop & pick-up) Skilled in manual transmission operation Clean driver's abstract Ability to lift 50+ lbs Experience in construction or mechanics is an asset Strong reliability and safety-first mindset

Schedule

Monday to Friday (occasional flexibility)
