:Weatherford is hiring a Rod Pump Technician for our Clairmont Alberta facility. The Rod Pump Technician will be working within a supportive, inclusive team in a fast-paced, progressive environment. Weatherford provides training, excellent benefits and fantastic career progression.Based out of our Clairmont, Alberta facility the Entry Level Rod Pump Technician will follow a designated learning plan, which includes computer-based modules and classroom training. During this period, tasks may be assigned by the Supervisor, and the technician will receive close supervision with a thorough review of all work to ensure the application of sound professional judgment.Primary responsibilities include:
- Assembling and disassembling equipment (under supervision)
- Following work instructions to assemble liner systems (under supervision)
- Assisting senior workshop personnel in preparing and testing Thru-Tubing equipment
- Applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks in strict accordance with Weatherford OEPS standards.
- Proficient in mechanical skills
- Openness to acquiring new knowledge and skills
- Collaborative team player with the capability to follow instructions
- Willingness to work overtime and some weekends
- Class 5 drivers license with clean abstract
- Previous experience in the oil field
- Familiarity with Artificial Lift/ Rod Pump operations
