Overview

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Blaster to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blasting operations in a variety of settings, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational standards. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.

Duties

Execute blasting operations in accordance with project specifications and safety protocols. Prepare and load explosives into designated areas for effective blasting. Conduct pre-blast inspections to ensure all equipment is functioning properly. Collaborate with team members to coordinate blasting schedules and site preparations. Maintain accurate records of blasting activities, including quantities and types of explosives used. Operate machinery such as forklifts and drilling equipment as needed during operations. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to minimize risks associated with blasting activities. Troubleshoot mechanical issues that may arise during operations, utilizing mechanical knowledge effectively.

Qualifications

Proven experience in blasting or related fields is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to operate various types of machinery. Experience with commercial driving is a plus, especially in transporting materials safely. Familiarity with horizontal drilling techniques is advantageous. Valid forklift certification is preferred; ability to operate forklifts safely is essential. Knowledge of oil and gas industry practices is beneficial. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety standards on-site. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
