Job Summary:




To electrically and mechanically commission/service custom plastic finishing and assembly equipment throughout ABC Technologies which includes both local and out of country locations. To assist in the start-up, testing and troubleshooting of new, existing and rebuilt equipment/machines. Participate in whole or in part in the manufacturing of finishing fixtures/Automation cells and related components to within tolerances and specifications as directed by technical drawings and documents, supervision, personal skill and experience.

Job Responsibilities:



Receive and manage service calls Perform on site services required at customer locations including start-up Train and mentor employees Develop standard and best practices Provide support on PLC programming and equipment start up to manufacturing team Schedule service calls Write operational manuals Follow ABC Technologies policies, employment standards, occupation health and safety act Work independently for modification and implementation of current PLC Programs Facilitate Wiring and building of electrical PLC panels Facilitate installation of all sensors and electrical equipment and wiring to PLC Prepare schematics for electrical and pneumatic circuits using AUTO CAD software and finalise documentation packages Selection of all required Pneumatic and Electrical components Servo and PLC programming, well versed working on SiemensAllen Bradley Servo Controls design and Vision System Robot Programming

Job Qualifications:



Technologist, or Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering Electrician license and/or 3 to 5 years electrical experience in manufacturing environment Ability to interpret electrical schematics Familiarity with PLCs and some hydraulics and pneumatics In possession of the basic tools required to complete assigned tasks In possession of vehicle and valid driver's license Must be capable of traveling out of country
